Taková moderní rodinka tak trochu na černo, příjemná oddychová komedie beze smíchové stopy v čele s Mahalikem a dcerou Diany Ross, kde je rasa častou živnou půdou pro všeljaké joky (Black people just aren't republicans!), ale zároveň nabízí dostatečně barvité a sympatické charaktery (především duo prarodičů a malá dvojčata si dávají každou scénu), aby to nebylo neustále o jednom a tom samém. Oproti Modern Family je to celé jednodušší a klasicky sitcomovější, ale ono není vůbec špatné být slabší verzí jednoho z nejlepších aktuálních sitcomů.
