在这个迷失的世界里，有的不仅仅是美景，更多的是深不可测的危险。探险队遇到了美貌绝伦但是充满野性的Veronica，一个在丛林里长大的姑娘，她把探险队救出险境，并带回自己的"家"－－"树屋"。Marguerite看到Veronica的朋友－－土著姑娘Asi－－身上戴着令人惊奇的宝石，心里动了邪念，于是偷偷向土著人酋长（Asi的父亲）允诺，要把Veronica许给酋长为妻。作为交换，Marguerite 将获得大量宝石和离开迷失高原的路径。野蛮而原始的猿人攻击了"树屋"，抓走了Asi，打伤了Veronica。当其他人出去寻找Asi的下落时，Marguerite悄悄进行着她的计划，但Veronica很快识破了她的企图，并顽强反抗。Marguerite发现事情并不像自己想象的那么简单，甚至有些危险。因为不要说离开迷失高原，可能就连活着离开土著村庄都要成问题。
